Toolkit

We are developing a general toolkit for creating tabletop mixed-reality applications. This toolkit basically contains the muti-touch interface, gesture-based input interface, tangible user interfaces and robot interaction interfaces. It also provides a physical wolrd simulation support and lots of components for developing.

Gesture-based HRI

Gesture-based input is a hot research spot recently. We are studying gesture-based input algorithms for tabletop interaction. Besides, we are studying the use of gesture-based input for Human-Robot Interaction (HRI).

Robots for children

We are studying an educational application which will help children for robotics learning. By using tangible robots and virtual components, and providing visual programing ways, we hope children can enjoy to play the little robot with a multi-touch table. We also hope children can learn the basic mechanism of robot control and fundamental knowledge of sensors and actuators.
